Supported DSC USB Tokens

List of USB DSC (Digital Signature Certificate) token vendors currently supported for hardware-token based signing, plus how to check compatibility for a new token.

This page lists the USB DSC token drivers/providers our token-detection logic currently recognizes. If your token isn't listed, it may still work via generic hardware/smart-card detection — see Requesting support for a new token below.

Supported vendors

Vendor / Product
Watchdata / WD ProxKey / WDIND
ePass / ePass2003 / FT ePass (Feitian)
SafeNet / eToken / Gemalto / Thales
HyperPKI / HYP2003 / Hypersecu
mToken / Moserbaer / TrustKey
CryptoID / CryptoTrust
PantaSign / IDSign
eMudhra OEM tokens
NCode (NCC / TCS-branded tokens)
CCA India branded tokens
InnaIT Cryptographic Provider (e.g. Precision Biomatrix PK12XX-DSC)

In addition to the named vendors above, any token whose driver reports itself as a generic hardware/smart-card device (HardwareDevice = true, or a CSP/CNG provider name containing "smart card") is also detected automatically — even if the vendor isn't explicitly named.

Requesting support for a new token

If your USB DSC token isn't in the list and isn't being detected, send us the CSP/provider name for the token's certificate:

  1. Plug in the token and ensure the certificate is loaded into Windows (CurrentUser\My store).
  2. Run:
    certutil -csplist
    certutil -store -user my

  3. Share the output with us — specifically the Provider name tied to the DSC certificate.

We'll confirm whether it's already covered by the generic hardware/smart-card fallback, or add explicit support if needed.
